A Sensory Friendly/Neuro-Divergent performance is different from a traditional performance in the following ways:
- Lower sound levels in the theatre throughout the performance
- Lights remain on at a low level during the performance
- A reduction of strobe lighting or lighting focused on the audience
- Guests are free to talk and leave their seats during the performance
- Designated break areas are located adjacent to the theater
- Space throughout the theatre for standing and movement
- Audience members can bring comfort items into performance (i.e., weighted blankets, fidgets, headphones, etc.)
- Staff trained to be inviting and accommodating to families' needs
