HVAC system in the auditorium and lobby - replacement of original 1928 controls, 20-year-old oil burners, and 40-year old air conditioning chillers

Groundwater control in Theatre basement – essential to protect the recently renovated interior of the Theatre by eliminating standing ground water.

Installation of plasma television screens and intercom/sound system in Theatre Lobbies

Installed additional sprinklers, smoke and heat detection equipment

Replaced existing open fire escapes along Page Street with covered fire escapes and closed steps for safer egress of patrons.

Installed safety lighting around the perimeter of the building on Page, Pine, and Richmond Streets for the safety of patrons attending the theatre.

Up-lighting on façade – Provided decorative lighting on the Weybosset Street façade.

Orchestra pit lift mechanicals – Replaced the 1928 screw jack system on theatre orchestra lift.

Electrical work in auditorium, lobby and arcade – replaced all branch wiring to fixtures and
receptacles.

Installed chandelier in dome to illuminate the main theatre the way the original architects intended in 1928

Replaced orchestra and balcony seats with more comfortable seating to enhance the comfort and enjoyment of our patrons.

 

Completed during the summer of 2006

Furnishings, Wall Fabrics, & Drapes - Provide historic furnishings such as sofas, etc., for the main theatre and lobbies, replace existing wall fabric, and supply draperies throughout the lobby and main theatre to restore the 1928 décor.

Front of theatre – Replace deteriorating original 1928 doors with brass/bronzed glass doors and restore the outer kiosk.
 
Replace roof – Replace existing building roof due to normal erosion, wear & tear, etc. over the years.
